Hynds Environmental’s Up-Flo™ Filter is the new standard in stormwater treatment.

of pollutants including gross debris, fine sediments, nutrients, metals, oils and

that combines a patented upward flow path with a unique Drain Down system.

The Up-Flo™ Filter is sized to treat a specified treatment flow rate for a water
quality design storm. Each individual filter module can be engineered to have an
unprecedented treatment flow rate of up to 1.6 l/s or higher depending on the media
combination and performance requirements. The number of modules will be determined
by treatment objectives.
The flexibility of the system allows effective design for sites with low hydraulic
drops. Hynds Environmental’s expert engineering team can assist in designing a system
that is right for you.
Up-Flo™ Vault Systems
Hynds can design and build custom Up-Flo™ Vault systems to treat stormwater from small
to very large runoff areas. The smallest vault system includes 12 Up-Flo™ filter modules
while the largest can incorporate hundreds of individual modules. Manufactured from
precast concrete components, the Up-Flo™ chambers are designed to satisfy all site
constraints including structural loading, existing pipe depths and treatment performance.

The Hynds Up-Flo™ Filter has been designed to offer unrivalled performance in stormwater
filtration. The system is designed to remove more than 90% of all particles larger
than 40 microns (0.04mm) and 80% larger than 20 microns (0.02mm). The system also
captures gross debris, nutrients, metals, oils and grease, organics and bacteria.
