Hynds Streamsaver
The Hynds ‘Streamsaver’ has been developed to remove gross pollutants, debris and floating oils from streams while blending into the surrounding environment.

The two-stage treatment system will capture larger sediments, floating pollutants, organics and oils and store them “out of site” for easy removal and disposal.

The ‘Streamsaver’ can also act as a walkway across a stream. During periods of high flow, the stormwater can simply flow over the top of the unit.
Any stream where floating pollutants are damaging the downstream environment and storing the captured material in an exposed device is not desired.

The Hynds ‘Streamsaver’ is buried in a stream so the inlet of the chamber is located below the existing water level. The water flows into the primary chamber and up under a weir into a secondary chamber. The primary chamber is designed to capture floating debris and oil while sediments will settle out to the base of the unit. A screen at the outlet of the system will capture any remaining debris.

Two large access covers allow for easy maintenance of the ‘Streamsaver’.

During storm events, flows larger than the design flows will pass over the top of the unit.
